Your Counter-Strike 2 server stays up without a single player connected. The game stays open, the map stays loaded, the slots stay reserved. Your friends join a fixed address at any hour, chain competitive rounds, practice smokes or start a retake session, even when whoever put the group together has gone to bed.
A server launched on your PC forces you to leave it on, and the slightest reboot cuts everyone off mid-match. At Starmine, the server stays online at all times, behind included DDoS protection. Your personal IP address is never exposed to players, and a Ryzen 9 at 5.4 GHz backed by DDR5 ECC and NVMe Gen4 handles a 64-player game without your own game suffering.
The panel lets you pick the mode from a list: Casual, Competitive 5v5, Wingman 2v2, Arms Race, Demolition, Deathmatch, or a custom mode for your surf, retake or practice arenas. A built-in Workshop page loads a Workshop map in one click. The live console, the file manager and scheduled tasks complete the set.
Our Counter-Strike 2 plans start at 4 GB of memory, which is enough for a competitive 5v5 server or a Wingman. If you are aiming for 64 players, a busy Deathmatch or a pile of Workshop maps, go up one tier: memory is the first thing to watch.
Yes. Without a Steam GSLT token, Counter-Strike 2 only accepts local connections and refuses to download anything from the Workshop: nobody joins your server from outside. The token is free, is created in one minute on the Steam website, and is then entered in the panel.
The panel includes a dedicated Workshop page: you load the Workshop map you are interested in there in one click, without going through a file manager. The GSLT token must be in place, otherwise the server cannot download anything from the Workshop.
You choose from a list: Casual, Competitive 5v5, Wingman 2v2, Arms Race, Demolition and Deathmatch. A custom mode is provided for servers outside that frame, typically a surf arena, a retake server or a practice server. The change is made in the panel, with no file handling.
A local server depends on your machine and your connection: you close the game, everyone drops. You also expose your personal IP address. At Starmine, the server stays online day and night on dedicated hardware, behind DDoS protection, with a free subdomain to share.
Up to 64 players. In practice, a competitive 5v5 uses ten, a Wingman four, while a Deathmatch or a surf server climbs much higher. The number of slots is set in the panel, and CPU and memory statistics show you whether the configuration holds up under load.
The server is delivered installed and started within a few minutes. All that is left is to enter your GSLT token, choose the mode and, if needed, load a Workshop map. If you change your mind later, switching to another game in the catalog is free of charge.
