In Garry's Mod, a game launched from the client depends entirely on whoever hosts it: when they close their client, the map disappears and the builds with it. A dedicated server runs around the clock, on its own machine. Your players connect whenever they want, pick up a build started the day before, launch a round of Trouble in Terrorist Town at three in the morning without waiting for anyone.
From home, the game and the server share the same connection, and your personal address stays visible to everyone connected. On the hardware side, a Ryzen 9 at 5.4 GHz, DDR5 ECC and NVMe Gen4 handle props and addons without slowing down. The Paris datacenter stays on at night, DDoS protection runs at all times, and your home appears nowhere.
The gamemode is chosen from a list in the panel: Sandbox, Trouble in Terrorist Town, DarkRP, Prop Hunt or Murder. Sandbox and TTT come with the game, the others are added through a Workshop collection or the file manager. You set the starting map, the server name, the number of slots and the RCON password. The Workshop page loads your collection at startup.
Our Garry's Mod plans start at 4 GB, enough to run a comfortable Sandbox or TTT game. Usage climbs mostly with the size of the Workshop collection and the number of props built: a DarkRP loaded with addons needs more headroom than a Prop Hunt on stock maps.
The panel includes a Workshop page: you enter your collection there, it is loaded when the server starts and then downloaded by players on connection. For a specific addon, the web file manager lets you drop it directly into the addons folder, without going through an FTP client.
Yes. The gamemode is chosen from a list in the panel: Sandbox, Trouble in Terrorist Town, DarkRP, Prop Hunt, Murder. Sandbox and TTT ship with the game. DarkRP, Prop Hunt and Murder need their files, brought in by a Workshop collection or dropped in through the file manager.
A game launched from your client stops as soon as you leave, and your personal address stays visible to connected players. A server with us stays online day and night, behind permanent DDoS protection, on a dedicated machine that shares neither your connection nor your processor with the game.
The GSLT token is an identifier tied to your Steam account, to be entered in the panel. It improves your server's ranking in the game's public server list, and therefore its visibility to players browsing servers. Without it, your server stands out much less in that list.
The server is delivered installed and started within a few minutes. All that is left is to choose the gamemode, the starting map and the name shown in the list, then share your subdomain. Your players can connect even before your Workshop collection is finalized.
The live console shows the error the moment it occurs, which helps identify the addon at fault. The file manager lets you remove it, and automatic backups are restored from the panel if the map or the configuration has been damaged. Support answers in French by ticket.
