Terraria together: dig, farm, bring down the Moon Lord

In Terraria, a locally hosted game only exists as long as the host keeps the game open. A dedicated server runs around the clock, with its own world and its own saves. Your friends connect whenever they want, mine, build, set up the arena for the next boss, and find the world exactly as they left it.

Keeping the server on your PC means leaving it switched on, exposing your IP address to the players who join, and watching performance drop as soon as the world grows. In Paris, our servers line up a Ryzen 9 at 5.4 GHz, DDR5 ECC and NVMe Gen4, behind permanent DDoS protection. The server stays available, even while you sleep.

The panel handles the settings that matter in Terraria: world name, small, medium or large size, Classic, Expert, Master or Journey difficulty, free or special seed, player count, password and Journey powers open or locked. You switch between vanilla and tModLoader without losing the save, and keep the interactive console within reach.

Frequently asked questions about hosting Terraria

Which plan should I choose for a Terraria world?

Our Terraria plans start at 4 GB, which comfortably covers a vanilla world and a group of friends. A large world, a long Hardmode game or a heavy modpack like Calamity use more: in that case, go up one tier rather than playing at the limit.

How do I play with Calamity or Thorium?

Yes. Switch the server to tModLoader from the panel, your save is kept, then drop the mods in with the web file manager. Calamity, Thorium, Magic Storage and thousands of others work this way. Going back to vanilla is done the same way, with one switch.

What does a dedicated server change for my world?

A local game stops as soon as you close the game, it exposes your IP address and shares your machine's resources. Here, the world runs permanently on a dedicated machine in Paris, behind DDoS protection, with automatic backups and an address to share.

Can I change the difficulty or the seed?

Yes, everything is set in the panel: Classic, Expert, Master or Journey difficulty, small, medium or large world size, and the seed of your choice, including special seeds. In Journey mode, you also decide whether powers stay open or locked for players.

How many players can connect?

The player count is set in the panel, and you can protect entry with a password. The right setting depends mostly on available memory and world size: the bigger the group and the larger the world, the more RAM you need.

When is my Terraria server delivered?

The server is delivered installed and started within a few minutes. You receive panel access, set up the world, then share the free subdomain. If you want to try something else afterwards, switching to any other title in the catalog is free of charge, with a single command.

How do I recover a world after a mistake?

Automatic backups are included and are restored from the panel, without going through support. Useful after a badly installed mod or a build erased by mistake. The web file manager also lets you download the world to keep a copy on your side.
