Your world
comes with you

Migrating a Minecraft server is nothing complicated: it is about moving folders. No fees, no rebuild, no lost progress.

Fetch your files

At your current host, download over FTP the world folders (world, world_nether, world_the_end), the plugins or mods folder, and your configuration files.

Install the same version

Order with us and choose exactly the same version or the same modpack. That is the point that avoids 90 % of startup problems.

Upload and start

Send your folders through the built-in Web FTP, restart, check the console. Give the new address to your players.

What usually goes wrong

Four causes cover nearly every failed migration. Each takes less than five minutes to fix when you know where to look.

Different modloader

The old server runs Forge, the new one Fabric. The mods do not load.

The fixCheck the loader before copying: it changes in one menu.

Configs too old

The config folder comes from an earlier version of the pack: keys have changed names.

The fixStart again from the pack's configs, then carry your settings over one by one.

Plugins out of version

A plugin built for 1.20 on a 1.21 server stops at startup, sometimes silently.

The fixThe console names the culprit down to the line: it is the first place to read.

World name

The uploaded folder does not carry the name declared in level-name: the server generates a fresh one.

The fixRename the folder, or change level-name from Settings.

When in doubt, open a ticket with the error message from the console. We go through your files with you.
