A game server that runs for weeks deserves automatic maintenance. Steam server scheduled tasks do exactly what their Minecraft counterparts do: start, stop, restart, or back up, every day at the set time.
Your tasks

Each line is controlled by a switch, can be launched on demand to check its effect, and can be deleted without ceremony.
Scheduling one

Choose the action and the time. The classic that suits almost all games: a daily restart at dawn, around 5 a.m., which clears memory and reloads mods cleanly; survival games that accumulate entities benefit especially from it. Combined with Steam auto-update from the Settings page, this daily restart also applies game updates without you having to think about it: the server restarts, checks Steam, updates if needed, and starts back up.
